Soren Stuve (they/them) graduated from the School of Visual Arts with a B.F.A. focus on film and video editing. Their thesis film was awarded a grant from New York Women in Film & Television, and caught the attention of a producer at TBWA\Chiat\Day. Stuve cut their chops at the global ad agency's New York office, which led them to working with R/GA, where they worked on campaigns for Google, Verizon, and Disney.
As they developed their experimental and fast paced editing style, Stuve was hired by famed fashion photographer Steven Klein to work on Lady Gaga's music video, Alejandro. This project opened opportunities in the music and fashion world for Stuve, leading them to work on global brand campaigns for Marc Jacobs.
They were recruited by the Google Creative Lab in 2018, to work with the LGBT Center of New York and the National Parks Service on Stonewall Forever: a digital monument that encapsulated and accompanied the Stonewall National Monument. Stuve stayed on at Google until 2020, when they were hired by to YouTube Creative Studio as a Senior Video Editor.
They continue to work with YouTube Creative Studio, editing YouTube Shorts campaigns with major music artists such as Billie Eilish, Sabrina Carpenter, Blackpink, and Dua Lipa, alongside editing partnership projects with Warner Bros.
Current projects include work with Pokémon and The Criterion Collection.
A long time resident of New York City, Stuve now lives and works remotely in the high desert of New Mexico.
